the giveaway is now closed + the winners have been selected using random.org. congratulations to lucky commenters #35 + #44 – trisha b. + heather crawford! i’ll be contacting both of you by email to arrange cookie shipping / delivery!
those of you who follow me on twitter or facebook know that yesterday i baked nutella cookies to thank a wonderful neighbor for her helpfulness. in a typical amy moment of overzealousness, i made 3 dozen extra cookies. i took to twitter + facebook, asking if anyone would like the extra cookies + the response was, in a word, awesomesauce.
so, i scrapped my original post for today + decided to do something different – a homemade giveaway. i don’t want to gush, but i truly think i have the most amazing, sweetest readers of any blogger out there. your kind words + comments pick me up when i’m down. they make great days even better. y’all are the best cheerleaders that i’ve ever had (except for my mom. hi mom!). so i shall reward you with cookies.
on to the giveaway. i did some research, + i now know how to ship cookies to keep them fresh + delicious. so, TWO winners will each receive two dozen homemade-by-amy nutella cookies. i’ll bake them fresh next wednesday morning + ship them out (via overnight shipping) that afternoon. (or if you live locally, i’ll drop ’em off at your home or work).
how to enter the giveaway: (please leave a separate comment for each that you do).
1. mandatory entry: tell me the best type of cookies you’ve ever had.
2. optional additional entry: ‘like’ fearless homemaker on facebook + leave a separate comment saying you do. (or if you already do, leave a separate comment saying that).
3. optional additional entry: follow @amy_donovan on twitter + tweet the following: nutella cookies? yes, please! i entered a giveaway to win freshly-baked nutella cookies from @amy_donovan! http://ow.ly/5oBJA (feel free to get creative + word it differently). make sure to come back here + leave a separate comment saying you tweeted!
note: feel free to enter even if you were one of the lucky few who received cookies yesterday.
the contest ends on tuesday, june 28, 2011 at 2 PM CST. two winners will be selected randomly, emailed + have 24 hours to respond. if there is no response after 24 hours, another winner will be selected. contest open to residents with a shipping address within the 48 contiguous US states.
disclosure: nutella has in no way reimbursed me for this giveaway. if they decide to send me a year’s worth of free nutella, i will be a very happy amy.

I am so excited to test out this recipe today! The best cookie I have ever had so far or I guess the most memorable was a a chocolate chip cookie that was so light & buttery that it melted in your mouth and a Grandmother of an old family friend used to make them when I was a kid. It has been a long time but I still remember how much I loved them.
I follow you on twitter & I tweeted about contest.

Hi Amy!
Those look delicious! Let’s see… the best type of cookies I’ve ever had are lemon pecan cookies-to be even more specific the ones my aunt makes. My mom and I both use the same recipe but we just can’t make them the same…
