those of you who follow me on twitter or facebook know that yesterday i baked nutella cookies to thank a wonderful neighbor for her helpfulness. in a typical amy moment of overzealousness, i made 3 dozen extra cookies. i took to twitter + facebook, asking if anyone would like the extra cookies + the response was, in a word, awesomesauce.
so, i scrapped my original post for today + decided to do something different – a homemade giveaway. i don’t want to gush, but i truly think i have the most amazing, sweetest readers of any blogger out there. your kind words + comments pick me up when i’m down. they make great days even better. y’all are the best cheerleaders that i’ve ever had (except for my mom. hi mom!). so i shall reward you with cookies.
on to the giveaway. i did some research, + i now know how to ship cookies to keep them fresh + delicious. so, TWO winners will each receive two dozen homemade-by-amy nutella cookies. i’ll bake them fresh next wednesday morning + ship them out (via overnight shipping) that afternoon. (or if you live locally, i’ll drop ’em off at your home or work).

The best type of cookies I’ve ever had were the great big triple chocolate chip cookies from a shop in Disney Hollywood Studios of all places. They were about 4″ wide and 1″ thick. I’ve never had a cookie that thick before and it was sooooo good!

my favorite cookies are whatever cookies i happen to be eating. i discriminate against no cookie. well, except ones with raisins in them, because hot raisins are gross.

Amy, great idea…Nutella cookies! My favorite cookies ever have been from the Carolina Cookie Company. A co-worker was the lucky receipent of the Cookie of the Month so each month was another delicious morsel of goodness. However, my favorite with chocolate was the Chunky Chocolate Pecan and non Chocolate was Oatmeal Cranberry Nut. Basically, I enjoy the cookies with nuts in them!

peanut butter cookies that my grandpa jim used to make. they were light and fluffy, perfectly sugary, a bit cakey, and melted with each bite. he was a baker and we have his receipe…but it makes like 10 dozen cookies!
can’t wait to try out your nutella cookie receipe. our au pair has been making crepes with nutella for us…this will be my way of giving back to her 😉 we literally buy nutella at costco now and go thru a tub a week in our house!!! *sigh*
