Georgia Aquarium - Fearless Baby in awe! This giveaway is now CLOSED + the winner was selected using random.org. Congratulations to commenter #36, Ally – I’ll email you with details! aquarium-winner

I am a HUGE fan of aquariums. As a Boston-raised child, the New England Aquarium was one of my favorite places to visit, and as I have grown up, I’ve continued to enjoy exploring aquariums all over the country. So, when the folks at the Georgia Aquarium invited me, my husband, and Fearless Baby to come visit, I was SO excited. So, we loaded up the car and headed down to Atlanta (Baby’s first roadtrip!) to check it out. And y’all, this is an AMAZING aquarium – I’m so excited to share some of the highlights of our visit. The above picture of Fearless Baby was taken while she stared in utter awe at the creatures swimming in front of her. Neat, huh?!

Probably the most talked-about creatures at the Aquarium are the breathtaking whale sharks. We were lucky enough to get a Behind The Scenes Tour where we got to see them from the top of the Ocean Voyager exhibit – they are truly awe-inspiring, and no pictures can capture how amazingly huge they are. I could’ve watched them swim for hours.

Georgia Aquarium - whale sharkSONY DSCI also loved watching the beluga whales. Again, we had the cool privilege of seeing them from both the normal exhibit point-of-view, and from the top of their tanks during the Behind The Scenes tour. They seemed so carefree and sociable – I loved ’em!
Georgia Aquarium - belugasGeorgia Aquarium- belugas from aboveWe toured pretty much all the exhibits (I loved how stroller-friendly everything was!) and saw gorgeous seahorses/seadragons, manta rays, penguins, friendly sea otters, sand sharks, thousands of fish, coral, and more! Here are some pics of my favorite creatures + exhibits.

There are so many things I’d love to see- how to choose just one?! I do love seahorses, so I guess I’ll go with that. We love to “wibble wobble” to and fro like penguins, so Archer would probably love those!
